1. Who we are
horoscope.love (“we”, “us”) is operated by Alice Won, an individual based in the United States, who is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
2. The short version
- You don’t need an account. We don’t ask for your email, and we don’t sell or rent personal data.
- Birth dates and names you type into our calculators are used to produce your result and are not stored.
- In the EU, the EEA, the UK, Moldova and Turkey, analytics (Google Analytics) runs only if you click “Accept all”. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can turn it off in Cookie settings. Either way, every feature works the same.
- We keep technical logs for security for 14 days.
- You can ask us to access or delete your data at any time.
3. What we collect, why, and for how long
Find your sign
A birth date submitted to the sign finder is processed once on our server to calculate your Western and Chinese signs. The raw date is not placed in the redirect URL, not saved in your session, not stored in a database and not sent to analytics. The calculated result is shown once and then discarded. Legal basis: providing the feature you asked for.
Compatibility finder
When you enter two birth dates, they are used only to work out the two people’s signs. The dates are not placed in URLs, pages, browser storage, analytics or a database. The resulting sign choices are kept in a private server cache for up to 30 minutes and removed within 35 minutes. Legal basis: providing the feature you asked for.
Love Tarot
The Daily Love Card and Heart Mirror ask for your first name and birth date. They are used once, on our server, to choose your cards for the current day and to show your zodiac sign and Life Path number. Your name, birth date, cards and reading are not stored anywhere: not in a database, your session, browser storage or logs. We never ask for the question you have in mind. Legal basis: providing the feature you asked for.
Love Numerology
One or two birth dates are used for the calculation and are not stored. Only the final numbers and compatibility result are kept in a private server store, linked to your browser session, so you can reload the page. They are readable for 30 minutes and deleted within 35 minutes. “Clear this result” deletes them straight away. Legal basis: providing the feature you asked for.
Love games
The love games run entirely in your browser. Names and dates you type into them are never sent to us.
Saved sign choices (optional)
If you choose “Remember on this device” in the compatibility finder, your browser stores the chosen signs,
preferred system and relationship lens under horoscope_love_device_preferences_v1. It holds no
dates, names or results, expires after 180 days and can be cleared from Cookie settings. Anyone who uses the
same browser may see these choices.
Legal basis: your choice to save them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall traffic: pages visited, approximate country, device and browser type, and whether a game, Tarot reading or Numerology calculation was started and finished. What you type and the results you see are never sent, and advertising features are off. Google Analytics data is kept for 2 months.
In the EU, the EEA, the UK, Moldova and Turkey, the Google tag and its cookies are blocked until you click “Accept all”. “Accept essential” and “Dismiss” both keep analytics off. Legal basis: your consent.
Everywhere else, analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Cookie settings, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we keep it off unless you turn it on. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
To know which applies, your browser asks our network provider, Cloudflare, which country your connection comes from. We keep only that two-letter country code, in your browser, until you close the tab. If it can’t be determined, we ask for consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer; data already sent stays with Google until it expires, or until you ask us to request its deletion.
Security logs and site sessions
Like any website, our servers record your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these records only to keep the site secure, prevent abuse (for example, rate limits) and fix errors. Server logs are kept for 14 days. Your site session, which forms need, stores your IP address and browser type for 120 minutes. Database backups, readable only by the site administrator, may include these session records and are kept for 14 days. Sensitive form fields are removed from error reports. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and keep the conversation for up to 24 months unless the law requires longer. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.

Dismissing the cookie window, or pressing Esc, is not consent: no analytics runs, and we ask again on your next visit. We honor Global Privacy Control in every country.
5. Who processes data for us
We don’t sell, rent or share personal data for advertising. We use these service providers, who process data only to provide their service to us:
- Contabo GmbH (Germany): hosts our servers, database and backups.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA, global network): delivers the site and protects it against attacks.
- Google: Google Analytics (in the EU, EEA, UK, Moldova and Turkey only if you accept).
- Our email provider, to receive and answer your messages.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a transfer of the website to a new owner, who would be bound by this policy.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and Cloudflare and Google process data in the United States and other countries. When personal data from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland is transferred to the United States, we rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How we protect data
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Access to our servers and the admin area is restricted and rate-limited, backups are readable only by the administrator, and we collect as little as possible in the first place: most of what you type is never stored.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to a data protection authority (in the EU, the authority in your country).
U.S. residents may have similar rights under their state’s privacy law, including the right to know, delete and correct personal data and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We don’t sell or share personal data in that way. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We answer within one month (within 45 days where U.S. state law applies) and may ask for information to confirm the request is yours. Since we don’t keep accounts or most of what you type, we often hold no data that can be linked to you.
9. Children
horoscope.love is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Automated readings
Horoscopes, compatibility scores, Tarot draws and numerology results are produced automatically for entertainment. They do not lead to any decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date and version at the top show the current one. If a change affects how we use data you agreed to, we will ask for your consent again.
